UNWAN Terms of Use
The rules for playing UNWAN and using its optional online features.
Effective date:
Using UNWAN
Busted Minds provides UNWAN as a free narrative exploration game on the web and through the Android app org.bustedminds.unwan. These terms apply to your use of UNWAN. If you do not agree, stop using the service. Questions can be sent to support@bustedminds.org.
UNWAN is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The game includes war, bombardment, displacement, injuries, detention, torture, and non-graphic references to sexual violence. Take breaks or leave scenes whenever you need to.
The game and the public record
Characters and care routes are fictional composites. The world is an artistic interpretation, not a live map, navigation or emergency tool, complete reconstruction, or eyewitness testimony. Historical and legal records are attributed to identified sources; conditions and proceedings may change. Follow the linked institutions for their current information. The game does not provide medical, safety, or legal advice.
Accounts, progress, and availability
Single-player exploration is available without an account. Busted Minds Accounts is needed for cloud saves and online features; keep your credentials private and do not use someone else's account without permission. The Android app launches the hosted game through a compatible browser. First launch requires internet access, and offline availability depends on cached assets.
We may maintain, change, limit, or discontinue features. Saves, online availability, compatibility, and uninterrupted access are not guaranteed. UNWAN currently has no advertising, real-money purchases, or real-money gambling. In-game supplies, currency, achievements, and objects have no cash value.
Playing together
Treat other participants with care. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit children, post hateful or illegal content, disclose someone else's private information, spam, distribute malware, cheat shared results, or interfere with accounts and infrastructure. Do not share passwords, financial details, or other sensitive information in room chat.
Your messages and online identity are visible to other room participants. You remain responsible for content you submit and must have the right to share it. You allow Busted Minds to process and display that content to operate the feature you used and to investigate reports; this does not transfer ownership. You can block players and report messages in the game or contact support. We may remove content or restrict online access to respond to abuse, protect the service, or comply with law. Contact support to ask about a restriction.
Privacy and deletion
The UNWAN Privacy Policy explains data handling. You can request deletion of your UNWAN account or selected data through our deletion-request page or the account menu. Removing the Android app alone does not delete server-side records or necessarily clear the browser's local data.
Rights and responsibility
Busted Minds and the applicable rights holders retain rights in the game, brand, code, artwork, audio, and other materials. Your permission to play does not transfer those rights. Third-party materials and linked sources remain subject to their own licences and terms.
We provide UNWAN as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise uninterrupted service or suitability for a particular purpose and are not responsible for losses caused by service interruptions, device failures, or other players' conduct. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, or limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and contact
We will publish updated terms here with a new effective date. Material changes will be identified when applicable. You can stop using the service and request deletion if you do not wish to continue. Contact support@bustedminds.org for help.
